Ingredients
Scale
- 8 oz cream cheese, softened
- 1/2 cup sour cream
- 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 cup fresh cranberries, chopped
- 1/2 cup pecans, chopped
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1 baguette, sliced
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a mixing bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, sour cream, and shredded cheddar cheese. Mix until smooth and creamy.
- Fold in the chopped cranberries, pecans, brown sugar, vanilla extract, and cinnamon until evenly incorporated.
- Transfer the mixture to a small baking dish and spread it evenly across the surface.
- Bake for 25–30 minutes, or until the dip is visibly bubbly and lightly golden on top.
- While the dip bakes, brush the baguette slices with olive oil and place them on a baking sheet.
- Toast the baguette slices in the oven during the last 10 minutes of the dip’s bake time, or until golden and crisp.
- Remove the dip and baguette from the oven. Serve warm with the toasted slices for dipping.
Notes
- Chop fresh cranberries finely large chunks can be overly tart and may prevent even flavor distribution.
- A shallow baking dish helps the dip brown more evenly and gives a perfect ratio of golden top to creamy interior.
- Letting the dip cool slightly before serving helps it thicken and makes scooping easier.
