- 3 medium apples
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 2 teaspoons cinnamon

- 1/4 cup butter, melted
- 1/2 cup chopped nuts (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Peel and cube the butternut squash. Core and slice the apples.
- In a large bowl, toss together the squash, apples, brown sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, and melted butter until everything is well coated.
- Pour the mixture into a baking dish and sprinkle chopped nuts over the top if using.
- Bake for 45 minutes, or until the squash is fork-tender and everything is golden and bubbling.
