- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 2 large eggs
- 1 cup marinara sauce
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- Fresh basil leaves for garnish

Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a shallow bowl, combine breadcrumbs, grated Parmesan cheese, Italian seasoning, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper.
- In another bowl, beat the eggs until well combined.
- Dip each chicken breast into the egg mixture, allowing any excess to drip off, then coat thoroughly with the breadcrumb mixture.
- In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Once hot, add the breaded chicken breasts and cook for 4-5 minutes on each side, or until golden brown and cooked through.
- Transfer the browned chicken to a baking dish. Spoon marinara sauce over each piece, then sprinkle with shredded mozzarella cheese.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
- Garnish with fresh basil leaves before serving.
Notes
- Make sure not to overcrowd the skillet; fry the chicken in batches if necessary.
- For a gluten-free version, use gluten-free breadcrumbs.
- Ensure the chicken is fully cooked to an internal temperature of 165°F (74°C).
