Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 pounds ground beef or lamb
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 2 carrots, diced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup frozen peas
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • 2 tablespoons tomato paste

  6. Spoon the mashed potatoes over the meat, smoothing the top with a spatula. Sprinkle with cheddar cheese if using.
  7. Bake uncovered for 25–30 minutes or until golden and bubbling on top.
  8. Let cool for a few minutes, garnish with parsley, and serve warm.
