Ingredients
Scale
- 1 cup orzo pasta
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 cups fresh spinach, chopped
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions
- Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the orzo and cook until al dente, about 8–10 minutes. Drain and set aside.
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the garlic and sauté for 1–2 minutes, until fragrant.
- Add the chopped spinach and cook for 2–3 minutes, until wilted.
- Pour in the heavy cream and bring to a gentle simmer. Stir in Parmesan until melted and smooth. Season with salt, pepper, and red pepper flakes if desired.
- Add the cooked orzo and toss to combine. Let it cook 2–3 minutes to absorb the sauce.
- Serve warm, topped with fresh parsley.
Notes
- For extra creaminess, stir in an additional 2–3 tablespoons of Parmesan before serving.
- Want it lighter? Swap half the heavy cream with milk.
- Add grilled chicken or shrimp to make it a complete meal.
