Description

Crockpot Garlic Butter Steak Bites are melt-in-your-mouth tender pieces of sirloin simmered low and slow in a rich, garlicky butter sauce.   • 1.5 pounds sirloin steak, cut into bite-sized pieces
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, divided
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme
  • 1 teaspoon dried rosemary
  • Salt, to taste
  • Black pepper, to taste
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. In a large skillet over medium-high heat, melt 1/4 cup (half) of the butter.
  2. Add the steak bites in batches, searing for 2–3 minutes per batch until browned on all sides. Avoid overcrowding the pan so they sear instead of steam.
  3. Transfer the seared steak bites and any juices to the crockpot.
  4. In the same skillet, add the remaining 1/4 cup butter, minced garlic, Worcestershire sauce, thyme, rosemary, salt, and black pepper.
  5. Cook for 1–2 minutes, stirring, just until the garlic is fragrant and the herbs bloom in the butter. Do not let the garlic burn.
  6. Pour the garlic butter mixture over the steak bites in the crockpot, stirring gently to coat.
  7. Cover and cook on LOW for 4–5 hours or on HIGH for 2–3 hours, until the steak is very tender.
  8. Once cooked, stir the steak bites to coat them fully in the garlic butter sauce.
  9. Taste and adjust seasoning with extra salt and pepper if needed. Garnish with fresh chopped parsley before serving.

Notes

  • Pat the steak dry before searing to help it brown more deeply and develop better flavor.
  • Use sirloin for the best balance of tenderness and budget, but you can also use ribeye or strip steak for a richer result.
