  • 1 loaf of rye bread, cubed
  • 1 lb corned beef, sliced
  • 2 cups sauerkraut, drained
  • 2 cups shredded Swiss cheese
  • 1 cup Thousand Island dressing
  • 1/4 cup melted butter
  • 1 tbsp caraway seeds (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×13 inch baking dish.
  2. Layer half of the rye bread cubes on the bottom of the dish.
  3. Spread half of the corned beef over the bread cubes.
  4. Add half of the sauerkraut over the corned beef.
  5. Sprinkle half of the Swiss cheese on top.
  6. Spread half of the Thousand Island dressing over the cheese.
  7. Repeat the layers with the remaining ingredients.
  8. Pour melted butter evenly over the top layer.
  9. Sprinkle with caraway seeds if using.
  10. Bake for 25–30 minutes, or until the cheese is bubbly and golden.
  11. Let it cool for a few minutes before serving. Enjoy!
