Description

These Easter Dirt Cups are a playful, no-bake dessert that brings out everyone’s inner child. Made with crushed Oreo cookies, creamy chocolate pudding, and a sweet cheesecake-style layer, they’re topped with pastel chocolate eggs and festive bunny decorations for the ultimate springtime treat. Perfect for Easter gatherings, classroom parties, or a fun weekend activity with the kids, these layered cups are as adorable as they are delicious!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 package (14 oz) chocolate sandwich cookies (such as Oreo)
  • 1 package (8 oz) cream cheese, softened
  • 2 cups cold milk
  • 1 package (3.4 oz) instant chocolate pudding mix
  • 1 cup whipped topping
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup pastel chocolate eggs
  • Bunny marshmallow or candy decorations (optional)

Instructions

  1. Crush the chocolate sandwich cookies into fine crumbs using a food processor, or place them in a sealed bag and crush with a rolling pin. Set aside.
  2. In a mixing bowl, beat the softened cream cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract until completely smooth and creamy. Gently fold in the whipped topping until well combined. Set aside.
  3. In a separate bowl, whisk together the cold milk and instant chocolate pudding mix for about 2 minutes, until thickened. Let it sit for 5 minutes to fully set.
  4. Assemble the cups by layering: start with crushed cookies at the bottom, add a layer of pudding, then a layer of the cream cheese mixture. Repeat layers as desired.
  5. Finish with a generous sprinkle of cookie crumbs on top and decorate with pastel chocolate eggs and bunny candies.
  6. Chill in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes before serving to allow flavors to meld and layers to firm up.

Notes

  1. Make sure the cream cheese is fully softened before mixing to prevent lumps in your filling.
  2. Whisk the pudding thoroughly to ensure a smooth, thick consistency before layering.
  3. For cleaner layers, use a piping bag (or zip-top bag with the corner snipped) to add the cream mixture neatly.
