  • 1 pound ground beef (80/20)
  • 2 cups broccoli florets
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
  • 2 tablespoons heavy cream

Instructions

  1. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the ground beef and cook until browned, breaking it apart with a spatula, about 5-7 minutes. Drain excess fat if necessary.
  2. Add broccoli florets to the skillet with the beef. Stir in garlic powder, onion powder, salt, pepper, and red pepper flakes if using. Cook for an additional 5-7 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the broccoli is tender.
  3. Reduce heat to low and stir in heavy cream and half of the cheddar cheese. Mix until the cheese is melted and everything is well combined.
  4. Sprinkle the remaining cheddar cheese over the top and cover the skillet. Allow it to cook for another 2-3 minutes until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
  5. Serve hot, garnished with additional red pepper flakes if desired.

  • For added flavor, try mixing in some cooked beef bacon bits or diced bell peppers.
