Description

This Savory Turkey and Cranberry Crescent Ring is the ultimate way to use up leftover turkey while serving a dish that looks straight out of a holiday magazine. Flaky crescent dough wraps around a creamy, tangy blend of turkey, cranberry sauce, and cream cheese for a show-stopping main or appetizer. With its festive look and comforting flavor, it’s perfect for Thanksgiving leftovers, Christmas brunch, or any time you want something cozy and impressive without a ton of effort.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups cooked turkey, shredded
  • 1 cup cranberry sauce
  • 1 cup cream cheese, softened
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped
  • 1 can (8 oz) refrigerated crescent roll dough
  • 1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a large baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Mix the filling: In a medium bowl, combine shredded turkey, cranberry sauce, softened cream cheese, garlic powder, onion powder, parsley, salt, and pepper. Stir until creamy and well combined.
  3. Prepare the crescent ring: Unroll the crescent dough and separate into triangles. On the prepared baking sheet, arrange the triangles in a circle, overlapping the wide ends to form a ring (the points should face outward).
  4. Add the filling: Spoon the turkey mixture evenly around the ring where the triangles overlap.
  5. Form the ring: Gently fold the pointed ends of the triangles over the filling and tuck them underneath to secure the ring.
  6. Brush and bake: Brush the top with the beaten egg for a glossy golden finish. Bake for 25–30 minutes, or until the crescent dough is golden and cooked through.
  7. Cool and serve: Allow to cool for 5 minutes before slicing. Serve warm with extra cranberry sauce or gravy if desired.

Notes

  1. If your filling feels too loose, chill it for 10–15 minutes before assembling the ring it will hold its shape better.
  2. To prevent soggy dough, avoid overfilling the crescent triangles with the mixture.
  3. For even browning, rotate the baking sheet halfway through baking.
