  • Salt and black pepper, to taste
  • Chopped fresh parsley, for garnish

Instructions

  1. In a medium mixing bowl, whisk together the sour cream, onion soup mix, chicken broth, olive oil, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper until smooth and well combined.
  2. Place the chicken breasts in the bottom of the slow cooker in an even layer.
  3. Pour the sour cream mixture evenly over the chicken, turning the pieces if needed to ensure they’re well coated.
  4. Cover and cook on LOW for 6–7 hours or on HIGH for 3–4 hours, or until the chicken is very tender and reaches an internal temperature of 165°F (74°C).
  5. Once cooked, use two forks to shred the chicken directly in the slow cooker. Stir well so the chicken is fully coated in the creamy sauce.
  6. Taste and adjust seasoning with additional salt and pepper if needed.
