Instructions
- In a medium mixing bowl, whisk together the sour cream, onion soup mix, chicken broth, olive oil, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper until smooth and well combined.
- Place the chicken breasts in the bottom of the slow cooker in an even layer.
- Pour the sour cream mixture evenly over the chicken, turning the pieces if needed to ensure they’re well coated.
- Cover and cook on LOW for 6–7 hours or on HIGH for 3–4 hours, or until the chicken is very tender and reaches an internal temperature of 165°F (74°C).
- Once cooked, use two forks to shred the chicken directly in the slow cooker. Stir well so the chicken is fully coated in the creamy sauce.
