Description
Grandma’s No-Bake Strawberry Delight is a cool, creamy, and nostalgic dessert that tastes like summer in every bite. It starts with a buttery graham cracker crust, then gets topped with a fluffy strawberry cream cheese filling made with whipped topping, strawberry gelatin, and juicy chopped strawberries. This easy no-bake dessert is perfect for potlucks, family gatherings, holidays, or any day when you want something sweet, refreshing, and simple to prepare.
Ingredients
Scale
- 2 cups graham cracker crumbs
- 1/2 cup butter, melted
- 8 ounces cream cheese, softened
- 1/2 cup powdered sugar
- 1 container whipped topping, 8 ounces, thawed
- 1 box strawberry gelatin, 3 ounces
- 1 cup hot water
- 1 cup chopped strawberries
Instructions
- In a medium bowl, combine the graham cracker crumbs and melted butter. Stir until the crumbs are evenly coated and the mixture looks like wet sand.
- Press the crumb mixture firmly into the bottom of a 9×13-inch dish to form an even crust. Use the bottom of a measuring cup or glass to press it down tightly.
- Place the crust in the refrigerator to chill while you prepare the strawberry filling.
- In a separate bowl, dissolve the strawberry gelatin in the hot water. Stir well until the gelatin is completely dissolved, then let it cool slightly.
- In a large mixing bowl, beat the softened cream cheese and powdered sugar until smooth, creamy, and free of lumps.
- Fold in the whipped topping gently until the mixture becomes light, fluffy, and well combined.
- Add the cooled strawberry gelatin and chopped strawberries. Gently fold everything together until the strawberry filling is evenly mixed.
- Spread the strawberry filling evenly over the chilled graham cracker crust.
- Cover the dish and refrigerate for at least 4 hours, or until the dessert is fully set and easy to slice.
- Slice into squares and serve chilled.
Notes
- Make sure the cream cheese is fully softened before mixing. Cold cream cheese can leave small lumps in the filling, so letting it sit at room temperature first helps create a smoother, creamier texture.
- Allow the gelatin to cool slightly before adding it to the cream cheese mixture. If it is too hot, it can melt the whipped topping and make the filling too loose.
- The crust should be pressed firmly into the dish. A tightly packed crust holds together better when sliced and gives each serving that classic buttery graham cracker bite.
- This dessert needs enough chilling time to set properly. Four hours is the minimum, but chilling it overnight gives the cleanest slices and best texture.
